Moving Back to LiveJournal

I'm not saying that I'm moving there for good since I'm in a state of instability (as always).

Missing My College Friends

I have to organize that get together A.S.A.P! And this time, Marvin should be there. Binoycott nya kami last time na nagkita-kita kami. Hmp. Anyways, the reason it has to be real soon is because I miss them so much. Last night I dreamed about me, Yada, Nathan and Obi sleeping at Marvin's house again! And we weren't doing any project this time (in the real world, only 50% of the time spent at Marvin's house was used for doing projects, the other 50% was spent goofing around hehe). This dream reminded of THE days...

What A Day!

I'm feeling better today but I felt really sick yesterday. But I'm not gonna whine about that! I've got something much better to blog. Thanks to Carlson and Aimee for the pics. Our team went to Tagaytay and Enchanted Kingdom last Saturday and it was a blast! I haven't had this much fun since graduating from college. Aside from enjoying the trip and the rides, I learned a lot about my team mates and I just love them. I should have joined this company the moment I stepped out of the stage during our graduation. Haha!

We left Makati at around 10:30 a.m. When we were in SLEX, in the Alabang area, it started to drizzle. Vince asked Liezl and Imee what plan B is, just in case the it rains. They said there isn't a plan B. Haha! When we reached Laguna, the drizzle evolved into a strong downpour. Oh no! But we didn't lose hope, we're going to Tagaytay for lunch first anyway. The rain might be gone by the time we go to Enchanted Kingdom.

At Tagaytay, we ate at Leslie's. Here are some pictures.

Crispy pata, Bicol express, bulalo, fried chicken and sisig! It was my first time to eat sisig. It was ok. Akala ko baguio beans yung green thing sa bicol express, kinain ko, sili pala!!! Anghang!

The girls. Imee, Liezl, Me, Rizza and Renai.

The girls with Bossing Vince.

The boys. Gerald, Vince, Regin, Carlson and Marc.

Everyone.

On our way to Enchanted Kingdom.

After lunch at Leslie's we headed to Enchanted Kingdom. At the parking lot, Carlson immediately took off. I thought he saw Vince's car drive out of the parking lot so I didn't say anything. After a while, Marc asked Carlson where Vince is and Carlson answered that he totally forgot that we had company. Haha! Anyways, the rendevouz happened a short while later.

The first ride we tried at EK is the flying fiesta. It was my second time, it was cool. Windy.

Then we went to Rialto. Boring. When Jerome and the others who didn't go to Tagaytay with us arrived, we rode the bump cars. Jamie hit me really hard and my bump car rocked so wild I thought I was gonna get body pains afterwards. And later she confessed that she didn't even notice. Everyone else did, girl! Hehe!

In line for the bump cars.

Then we tried the 4D thing. I loved it! The part where someone was beheaded and blood splattered everywhere, I seriously wiped the water droplets from my face and forearm thinking that it was really blood. Wow. I also loved the flock of crows rushing towards me. Wow. Wow. Wow.

We then proceeded to Anchors Away. When I first rode this thing when I was in high school, I swore I'll never ride it again since I got really dizzy. But you know what peer pressure can do. Haha! Surprisingly, I didn't feel any dizziness this time. Our project manager, on the other hand, hated it, and it showed in his face, my officemates said. You see, I was seated behind him so I can't really see his reaction. This picture is blurred but I think they were all laughing at Jerome.

Poor project manager

We then rode the roller coaster, not the Space shuttle, just the smaller one. It wasn't exciting at all.

Then, the Jungle Log Jam. I was in the same log with Renai, Janica and Vince. I had a raincoat on since I didn't want to get wet. I felt a fever coming on the night before and early morning but I just had to join this team building activity! Although my clothes were pretty dry, my face was drenched. It was even a bit itchy for a while, I think.

After the bathroom break.

I'm not sure if I remember the sequence right, but I think we then proceeded to the Space Shuttle. Jerome, Aimee, Rizza and Jamie didn't join us. They stayed beside the fake astronaut taking pictures. Hehe. I loved it. Although the sides of my head hurt a little bit because my head kept bumping on the safety metal thing, I really don't know how to refer to it. I loved the ride. Regin who was sitting beside me, was clenching his eyes shut and he looked really funny. Carlson and Gerald were in front and after the ride, I now wish I was there too!!! We don't have a picture of this, we do have a video though. =)

I thought we agreed that this would be the last ride?

Then we went to the Rio Grande. Now that's another thing that wasn't at EK back in high school. I wore my raincoat again. Haha, it didn't give much protection. I was drenced from waist down. Gosh. Vince knows how to control the "boat" so that Aimee and I are always the ones who gets splashed with water. Grrr!!! Now I'll definitely suffer the fever. I wasn't about to tell anyone though, we're having so much fun! I took medicine earlier anyways.

We rode Flying Fiesta again, in the hope of getting ourselves dried up a bit. Didn't help that much.

Desperately trying to dry up ourselves

We were a bit tired already so we decided to sit for a while in the Wheel of Fate. When I rode this back in high school, I couldn't move because I felt like the thing we're seating on will be detached from the while if I did. But this time, I didn't even notice the height. Probably because Jerome was telling lots of stories, the most interesting one was about his river rafting experience in Kalinga where he almost drowned. Thank God he's still here!

Storytelling at the Wheel of Fate

Some went to the arcade shop and some of us went back to Anchors Away and rode it two more times. It got boring.

We then proceeded to the arcade shop too and saw Vince and Aimee at the videoke booth and the others playing billiards. We joined the videoke people of course. After a while, the billiards people also joined us. Here's a list of the songs we sang:

1. Vince - Just Once
2. Aimee - Never Had A Dream Come True
3. Rizza - I Will Survive
4. Imee - a Kyla song which she sang really, I mean REALLY well
4. Regin - Spice Up Your Life
5. Gerald - Wherever You Will Go, he was really really good also.
6. Renai - Dancing Queen
7. Jamie - Dadalhin
8. Carlson - Want It That Way
9. Regin part 2 - Sana Mama, this was the best performance! It's a sing and dance number.
9. Marc - I Believe I can Fly
10. Jerome - Chiquitita
11. Me - Huwag Mo Nang Itanong
12. Imee part 2 - Killing Me Softly

Here I was singing through with my sore throat.

We were all singing Janet Jackson's Together Again when a crew called us out to see the fireworks.

Great fireworks!

We tried different games after that wherein we didn't win anything. Haha!

Bye Bye EK

After that, it was time to go home (no!), but we first stopped by at Chowking to have dinner.

At chowking

This is definitely the longest post I've ever done in my life. It just shows how happy this experience made me! This isn't even complete! There's a lot more to this activity!

What a day! Although I did have the fever...until earlier today.

Sort-Of-New Job

I'm now working for Navy. Yeah it's a code name, during our new hire orientation, we were informed that the HR sometimes search for blogs that contain information about Navy. And if I don't get terminated, I'll be here for at least two years.

I'm still at the office. You have three seconds to check the timestamp at the bottom of this post. Yeah, there are a lot things to do here, on a Friday night, I mean, a Saturday morning. But it's all done. I just can't go home just now. It might be dangerous out there. Anyways, I hope next week's tasks won't be as many. I should still be in training but a project really needed some testing. I hope they let me go through my training again soon.

Three Things That Made My Day Suck

1. I woke up late and ended up 10 minutes late at work. It wasn't so bad. Although our instructor was already there, most of my co-trainees are still having their breakfasts. I think they didn't notice.
2. Myk had his first interview at HP and he feels confident that he's gonna get the job. The people who conducted the interview asked him when he could start and told him that he didn't have to go through another interview. He'll be transferring there soon. *Sigh* Of course I'm really happy for him, I should be. But I'm also really sad at the same time. HP is just a couple of blocks away from the RCBC Plaza but you know there's a big difference.
3. You'd think that I've had my share of sadness for one day, but wait, there's one more! Some of my co-trainees were caught playing poker after lunch. Yes, you read right, they were playing, not me. My computer had been hanging all morning and I wasted a lot of time repeatedly rebooting it. That's why I was still working on the task given to us in the afternoon while my other co-trainees played poker. We all got scolded anyway. My co-trainees regretted what they did and so did I. Now I'm thinking of sending my resume to other companies. I fear that this incident is going to cost us a lot when the final deliberation comes.

Bingo

Bernice played bingo and won...a CAR! How lucky can the girl be?! It's not as if her family did not already own at least three vehicles.

Loving My Job (and Co-Trainees)

Haha. I must be crazy. Just a week ago, I'd give anything to quit being a programmer. Now, I'm really happy I ended up being one. I'm still not sure if I will get evicted from the training program. I'd find that out on Monday.

What got me really high-spirited is my co-trainees. We had a blast playing bowling yesterday in Megamall, even though we had to wait so long. I got a very low score, 82 I think, but it's still fun. Paulo was really a good bowler until a girl from his past payed him a visit. He got distracted for the rest of the game. Jami didn't play, I don't know why, she even bought socks with Clara and me, because we weren't wearing socks. We're wearing open-toed sandals. I'm surprised I did not wake up today with a sore right arm. The last time I bowled was in 2003! I couldn't even remember how heavy the ball was until last night. It was so heavy I thought I'd just drop it and let it roll wherever it went. I didn't think I'd be able to control the mouse afterwards. See, we had a plan to play Starcraft after that. And we did.

It was a three on three game, we won but definitely it wasn't because of me. My two teammates are experts. Actually I was just an 'alagain'. Myk had to rescue my base from being crushed by Kelvin. Hehe. They could have won without me. The last time I played StarCraft before last night was in 2000. That was in my third year in high school. I couldn't even remember that you have to have Overloads to see to your Zerglings. See, I used Zerg because Myk said something about our technique being a 'Zerling Rush'. Whatever! I learned that it just means you have to create lots and lots of Zerglings and have them attack. I definitely haven't used that technique before. As if I really used any technique at all when I played StarCraft six years ago. I've never even competed against a human-controlled enemy before. Haha. I used to play the campaigns and play with a friend through modem, but we're allies, against the computer. I'd be very stupid to think I can beat him.

But it was fun. I did a lot of stupid things still. First, I only had one Hatchery, hatching so little number of Zerglings. And my money was piling up. I didn't even remember how to create a new Hatchery until Myk noticed. Kelvin came when I started creating a new Hatchery. It's fortunate that I had lots of Zerglings and Alfie planted something of his near my base (I think) so Kelvin had to back off. But he was able to destroy my new Hatchery, it wasn't even complete yet! Most of my Zerglings died so I had to create more while creating a new Hatchery. Then Kelvin's little pets came again and that's when Myk had to help me. He came a bit late, the only thing that was left in my base was a thing that I don't even know how to refer to.

I was kind of embarrassed because obviously I have forgotten how to play that game and I think I was the weakest player. Marvin's was the first to lose in the game, but only because his base happened to be situated between Myk and Alfie's. Now I'm contemplating on getting a little bit of practice so that next time we play, I can hold my base together by myself. But I need an installer. Anyone?
