Last night I dreamed about me, Yada, Nathan and Obi sleeping at Marvin's house again! And we weren't doing any project this time (in the real world, only 50% of the time spent at Marvin's house was used for doing projects, the other 50% was spent goofing around hehe). But I'm not gonna whine about that! I've got something much better to blog. Thanks to Carlson and Aimee for the pics. Our team went to Tagaytay and Enchanted Kingdom last Saturday and it was a blast! I haven't had this much fun since graduating from college. Aside from enjoying the trip and the rides, I learned a lot about my team mates and I just love them. I should have joined this company the moment I stepped out of the stage during our graduation. Haha!

We left Makati at around 10:30 a.m. When we were in SLEX, in the Alabang area, it started to drizzle. Vince asked Liezl and Imee what plan B is, just in case the it rains. They said there isn't a plan B. Haha! When we reached Laguna, the drizzle evolved into a strong downpour. Oh no! But we didn't lose hope, we're going to Tagaytay for lunch first anyway. The rain might be gone by the time we go to Enchanted Kingdom.

At Tagaytay, we ate at Leslie's. Here are some pictures.

Crispy pata, Bicol express, bulalo, fried chicken and sisig! It was my first time to eat sisig. It was ok. Akala ko baguio beans yung green thing sa bicol express, kinain ko, sili pala!!! Anghang!

The girls. Imee, Liezl, Me, Rizza and Renai.

The girls with Bossing Vince.

The boys. Gerald, Vince, Regin, Carlson and Marc.

Everyone.

On our way to Enchanted Kingdom.

After lunch at Leslie's we headed to Enchanted Kingdom. At the parking lot, Carlson immediately took off. I thought he saw Vince's car drive out of the parking lot so I didn't say anything. After a while, Marc asked Carlson where Vince is and Carlson answered that he totally forgot that we had company. Haha! Anyways, the rendevouz happened a short while later.

The first ride we tried at EK is the flying fiesta. It was my second time, it was cool. Windy.

Then we went to Rialto. Boring. When Jerome and the others who didn't go to Tagaytay with us arrived, we rode the bump cars. Jamie hit me really hard and my bump car rocked so wild I thought I was gonna get body pains afterwards. And later she confessed that she didn't even notice. Everyone else did, girl! Hehe!

In line for the bump cars.

Then we tried the 4D thing. I loved it! The part where someone was beheaded and blood splattered everywhere, I seriously wiped the water droplets from my face and forearm thinking that it was really blood. Wow. I also loved the flock of crows rushing towards me. Wow. Wow. Wow.

We then proceeded to Anchors Away. When I first rode this thing when I was in high school, I swore I'll never ride it again since I got really dizzy. But you know what peer pressure can do. Haha! Surprisingly, I didn't feel any dizziness this time. Our project manager, on the other hand, hated it, and it showed in his face, my officemates said. You see, I was seated behind him so I can't really see his reaction. This picture is blurred but I think they were all laughing at Jerome.

Poor project manager

We then rode the roller coaster, not the Space shuttle, just the smaller one. It wasn't exciting at all.

Then, the Jungle Log Jam. I was in the same log with Renai, Janica and Vince. I had a raincoat on since I didn't want to get wet. I felt a fever coming on the night before and early morning but I just had to join this team building activity! Although my clothes were pretty dry, my face was drenched. It was even a bit itchy for a while, I think.

After the bathroom break.

I'm not sure if I remember the sequence right, but I think we then proceeded to the Space Shuttle. Jerome, Aimee, Rizza and Jamie didn't join us. They stayed beside the fake astronaut taking pictures. Hehe. I loved it. Although the sides of my head hurt a little bit because my head kept bumping on the safety metal thing, I really don't know how to refer to it. I loved the ride. Regin who was sitting beside me, was clenching his eyes shut and he looked really funny. Carlson and Gerald were in front and after the ride, I now wish I was there too!!! We don't have a picture of this, we do have a video though. =)

I thought we agreed that this would be the last ride?

Then we went to the Rio Grande. Now that's another thing that wasn't at EK back in high school. I wore my raincoat again. Haha, it didn't give much protection. I was drenced from waist down. Gosh. Vince knows how to control the "boat" so that Aimee and I are always the ones who gets splashed with water. Grrr!!! Now I'll definitely suffer the fever. I wasn't about to tell anyone though, we're having so much fun! I took medicine earlier anyways.

We rode Flying Fiesta again, in the hope of getting ourselves dried up a bit. Didn't help that much.

Desperately trying to dry up ourselves

We were a bit tired already so we decided to sit for a while in the Wheel of Fate. When I rode this back in high school, I couldn't move because I felt like the thing we're seating on will be detached from the while if I did. But this time, I didn't even notice the height. Probably because Jerome was telling lots of stories, the most interesting one was about his river rafting experience in Kalinga where he almost drowned. Thank God he's still here!

Storytelling at the Wheel of Fate

Some went to the arcade shop and some of us went back to Anchors Away and rode it two more times. It got boring.

We then proceeded to the arcade shop too and saw Vince and Aimee at the videoke booth and the others playing billiards. We joined the videoke people of course. After a while, the billiards people also joined us. Here's a list of the songs we sang:

1. Vince - Just Once
2. Aimee - Never Had A Dream Come True
3. Rizza - I Will Survive
4. Imee - a Kyla song which she sang really, I mean REALLY well
4. Regin - Spice Up Your Life
5. Gerald - Wherever You Will Go, he was really really good also.
6. Renai - Dancing Queen
7. Jamie - Dadalhin
8. Carlson - Want It That Way
9. Regin part 2 - Sana Mama, this was the best performance! It's a sing and dance number.
9. Marc - I Believe I can Fly
10. Jerome - Chiquitita
11. Me - Huwag Mo Nang Itanong
12. Imee part 2 - Killing Me Softly

Here I was singing through with my sore throat.

We were all singing Janet Jackson's Together Again when a crew called us out to see the fireworks.

Great fireworks!

We tried different games after that wherein we didn't win anything. Haha!

Bye Bye EK

After that, it was time to go home (no!), but we first stopped by at Chowking to have dinner.

At chowking

This is definitely the longest post I've ever done in my life. It just shows how happy this experience made me! This isn't even complete! There's a lot more to this activity!

What a day! Although I did have the fever...until earlier today.

Lost My Phone

I lost my phone. Yeah, there are a lot things to do here, on a Friday night, I mean, a Saturday morning. But it's all done. I just can't go home just now. It might be dangerous out there. I woke up late and ended up 10 minutes late at work. It wasn't so bad. Although our instructor was already there, most of my co-trainees are still having their breakfasts. I think they didn't notice.
2. Myk had his first interview at HP and he feels confident that he's gonna get the job. The people who conducted the interview asked him when he could start and told him that he didn't have to go through another interview. He'll be transferring there soon. *Sigh* Of course I'm really happy for him, I should be. But I'm also really sad at the same time. HP is just a couple of blocks away from the RCBC Plaza but you know there's a big difference.
3. You'd think that I've had my share of sadness for one day, but wait, there's one more! Some of my co-trainees were caught playing poker after lunch. Yes, you read right, they were playing, not me. My computer had been hanging all morning and I wasted a lot of time repeatedly rebooting it. That's why I was still working on the task given to us in the afternoon while my other co-trainees played poker. We all got scolded anyway. My co-trainees regretted what they did and so did I. Now I'm thinking of sending my resume to other companies. I fear that this incident is going to cost us a lot when the final deliberation comes.

Bingo

Bernice played bingo and won...a CAR! I must be crazy. Just a week ago, I'd give anything to quit being a programmer. Now, I'm really happy I ended up being one. I'm still not sure if I will get evicted from the training program. I'd find that out on Monday.

What got me really high-spirited is my co-trainees. We had a blast playing bowling yesterday in Megamall, even though we had to wait so long. I got a very low score, 82 I think, but it's still fun. Paulo was really a good bowler until a girl from his past payed him a visit. He got distracted for the rest of the game. Jami didn't play, I don't know why, she even bought socks with Clara and me, because we weren't wearing socks. We're wearing open-toed sandals. I'm surprised I did not wake up today with a sore right arm. The last time I bowled was in 2003! I couldn't even remember how heavy the ball was until last night. It was so heavy I thought I'd just drop it and let it roll wherever it went. I didn't think I'd be able to control the mouse afterwards. See, we had a plan to play Starcraft after that. And we did.

It was a three on three game, we won but definitely it wasn't because of me. My two teammates are experts. Actually I was just an 'alagain'. Myk had to rescue my base from being crushed by Kelvin. Hehe. They could have won without me. The last time I played StarCraft before last night was in 2000. That was in my third year in high school. I couldn't even remember that you have to have Overloads to see to your Zerglings. See, I used Zerg because Myk said something about our technique being a 'Zerling Rush'. Whatever! I learned that it just means you have to create lots and lots of Zerglings and have them attack. I definitely haven't used that technique before. As if I really used any technique at all when I played StarCraft six years ago. I've never even competed against a human-controlled enemy before. Haha. I used to play the campaigns and play with a friend through modem, but we're allies, against the computer. I'd be very stupid to think I can beat him.

But it was fun. I did a lot of stupid things still. First, I only had one Hatchery, hatching so little number of Zerglings. And my money was piling up. I didn't even remember how to create a new Hatchery until Myk noticed. Kelvin came when I started creating a new Hatchery. It's fortunate that I had lots of Zerglings and Alfie planted something of his near my base (I think) so Kelvin had to back off. But he was able to destroy my new Hatchery, it wasn't even complete yet! Most of my Zerglings died so I had to create more while creating a new Hatchery. Then Kelvin's little pets came again and that's when Myk had to help me. He came a bit late, the only thing that was left in my base was a thing that I don't even know how to refer to.

I was kind of embarrassed because obviously I have forgotten how to play that game and I think I was the weakest player. Marvin's was the first to lose in the game, but only because his base happened to be situated between Myk and Alfie's. Now I'm contemplating on getting a little bit of practice so that next time we play, I can hold my base together by myself. But I need an installer. Anyone?

Not So Bored Anymore...

I don't know what's wrong with me. Mark is a co-trainee whose absence created a stir so we decided to create a list of possible reasons why he was absent. The presentation turned out good. I am watching the video right now because Yada entrusted me her laptop while she and Marvin were paying their graduation fee. She can't bring it with her since she is charging the battery using UP's electricity. Hehehe. Is this legal? I keep on looking at the instructors passing by. I wonder if they mind. Anyways, just listening to the song I didn't expect Howie Day to look like that. His looks like a pop star to me, like Ryan Cabrera actually. If I didn't know the lead singer of Simple Plan, I'd think that was him. Hehe. Anyways, it didn't reduce the appeal of the song to me. I still love it and I love the video, it fits the romatic mood of the song perfectly.

Three

I got a three for my graphics class. That's the lowest passing score a UP student can have. Of course I'm happy because I passed the subject. But I feel that I deserve a lot more than that. I knew something was wrong with that instructor, it's just that I really like the subject. Getting there was weird, first of all, I rode a jeep from the side of Robinson's and told the driver to drop me off at Meralco building, he didn't say anything, he didn't even move so I didn't know if he heard me. But I was quite sure my voice was audible. Anyways, I asked the lady beside me to inform me when we get to Meralco building, this time, she said ok. About thirty seconds after the jeep left the "terminal", the driver shouted, "O, Meralco!" He did hear me after all. When I stepped off the vehicle, I realized that I should have just walked, I wasted Php 7.50. I'm feeling really kuripot nowadays because I spent a lot in cab rides for interviews in Eastwood.

There was a guard at the gate of the Meralco compound and I immediately told him that I have a Soluziona interview scheduled. I wrote some stuff in the log book and before I could leave, he wished me luck. That was weird. But things got even weirder. When I entered the building, there was a circular panel in the lobby where the guards are stationed. One of the guards asked me where I was going and I said in Soluziona. He asked me, "Start ka na ngayon?" I replied, "Hindi po, interview pa lang." He asked for my ID and gave me a visitor's ID and another sheet of paper, then he said, "Good luck ha." Aaanong meron sa inyo?!!

I went straight to the fourth floor, there was a guard there again. I logged and he pointed to a door where I should enter. I was waiting for him to wish me luck. He didn't. Hay salamat. Normal na ang lahat. I waited in that room until this project manager, Mr. Jimpy, called and asked me to proceed to the eleventh floor. I had a hard time figuring out the elevators so I decided to just go back to the ground floor before going back up. It took a long while, actually, so long that when I got to the eleventh floor and logged in the log book, Mr. Jimpy was already waiting outside the door of their office. One of the chitchatting guards pointed to him and wished me luck. Ganto ba talaga sila? SOP ba to? Even the other guards started wishing me luck. Syempre nagpasalamat na lang ako.

Ok...so Mr. Jimpy led me to the "interview room" and I was shocked to find five people there. But he explained that it's not really a panel interview, they just want to save time interviewing applicants. One more weird thing, when the interview began, I wasn't nervous. Could it be because I went through four already? Or maybe because I know that even if I don't get this, I already got ADTX? When Mr. Jimpy asked me what kind of job I wanted, I immediately said web applications developer, then one of the other project managers started asking a whole LOT about my experience in creating web applications. After that long chitchat, Mr. Jimpy asked me if I'm willing to work with other programming languages, and leave object-oriented programming behind. I wanted to scream no. I'm in love with OOP! But I lied, I said it was ok as long as there will be a training for it. Then they started asking what kind of training I was expecting. I wanted to say something like ADTX but I didn't. Then Mr. Jimpy said that it might be useless to undergo training for the language called Natural, which was the "other" programming language he was talking about, because it's easily understandable. From that point on, they continued babbling about the Natural language. At first I was curious and was listening attentively. Mr. Jimpy had huge eyes that was somehow forcing me to widen my eyes also because I feel that if I don't , he wouldn't fit in my view screen. Haha! I think he a very meticulous person, he tries to explain everyting overly well that I it takes too long and I get bored and sleepy. Anyways, when the interview was over, I had a bad feeling that they're considering me for the Natural programmer position.

When I left Meralco compound, I decided to just walk from there to EDSA. Wrong move. Ang layo pala! Bat nung nasa jeep ako parang ang bilis lang? As I was walking, there was this dirty man walking beside me who seemed to be murmuring something. He's not exaclty a taong grasa but he's really dirty. I thought he was talking to me but I refused to look at him. I know it's discrimination but people like him really scare me. I walked slower so he'll pass me, then he waved his hand in front of me, forcing me to look at him. Anong oras na?, he asked. Haha! Yun lang pala. Anyways, I walked a really long distance. When I got to EDSA, I had to walk to the MRT station just to get to the other side, I mean, the south bound lane, before the flyover, because buses travelling to Laguna take the flyover.

Haay...it was a long day.

On Job Interviews

I just finished my interview at Soluziona. It's located in Cyber One Tower, Eastwood. Yesterday, I asked Nathan if it's located anywhere near IBM Plaza and he said it wasn't, but when I arrived there today, I found out that Cyber One is beside IBM Plaza. Hehehe. Nathan also told me how to get there by taking jeeps but I'm just too lazy. I took a cab from Ortigas to Cyber One (there goes my 80 pesos...) and took another from Cyber One to NEC (...and also my 90 pesos). These job interviews are getting really expensive!

And what's up with interviewers? All of them are nice, too nice, in ADTX, in IBM, and today, in Soluziona. They nod at every answer you give to their question. They smile and act like they feel you. Hehe, the lady who interviewed me today is Amby (I'm not sure if it's spelled like that, but it sounded like that). She's really nice. I have straigtened out the confusion that Yada caused me. ^_^ Amby told me that Meralco is a major client of Soluziona. Actually, what Soluziona does is that they sort of deploy people. They have a project in Makati, people are sent in Makati. Since Yada is assigned at a Meralco project, they stay at Meralco. I also found out that Yada's job isn't exactly that of a programmer. She's more on the business analysis side. Good for her, she doesn't like programming that much anyways. BTW, I don't think it's possible that I'll be assigned in the same project as Yada or Nathan because I told Amby that I'll be available in May pa. Awww...At least I have time to wait for Accenture. ^_^

Chinese Astrology

I was born in the year 1985 but my animal sign is not the ox. Most people think that their animal sign simply depends on the year they are born, technically, this is true, but we are talking about Chinese years here. The Chinese New Year occurs sometime in the months of January or February. In 1985, the Chinese New Year was celebrate in February 19, this is the exact date that the year of the ox started. I was born in February 16, therefore I get the animal sign of the year before which is the rat. I'm a Yang person and my element is Wood.

I read somewhere about the characteristics of a person who was born in the year of the rat. I listed them below with my comments:

- have a tendency to be hot-tempered and overly critical.....So true.
- quick to anger and prone to spend freely.....True.
- suspicious.....I'm not sure.
- generous to the one they love.....Totally!
- usually be suitable in sales or as a writer, critic, or publicist.....This made me think.
- easily has friends.....I'd like to think they are true to me.
- best matches are Dragons (31 Jan 1976-17 Feb 1977) and Monkeys (16 Feb 1980-4 Feb 1981).....Call me! A dragon or monkey could also be older or younger by by a multiple of 12 (in years), but I prefer people who are born within the range specified above, thank you.
- have to avoid Horses.....Stay away! Or I'll shoot!

This is what the Chinese say about Yang people:
- Yang people are loners......Sometimes
- They are individualistic......You can say that.
- They are meditative......Yes.
- They are spiritual......Yes.
- They smile a lot......I laugh a lot, is that counted?
- They have no sense of groups or family......Not true!
- They have delicate health......I hope not.
- They like to dress for show......Not really.
- They eschew chains of command......Yes.
- They are nonmaterial......Yep.
- They love nature......Oh yes.
- Their only goal in life is personal development......I'm not sure.
- They are objective......A little.
- They keep their own counsel......Oftentimes.
- Yang's equilibrium comes from within......Uhm, I don't understand.

Yang likes
- books.....Maybe.
- music.....Very much.
- gardening.....I like gardens, not gardening. There a huge difference.
- long walks or anything that brings him closer to himself and nature......True.

Current Music: Uncle Sam feat. BTW, there was a concert-rally at the Sunken Garden last night, I heard True Faith, Radioactive Sago Project, Cookie Chua and a bunch of other bands. Thank God Kjwan wasn't there or I would have abandoned my thesismates. Anyways, Leng left at around 6pm last night and left a copy of our overnight permit with me because Sir Pros was still there. Leng said that Sir Pros would probably shoo me when he's done with whatever he's doing. Leng was right. When Sir Pros was about to leave, he asked me to leave also so I showed him our permit. I can't remember his exact words but he said something about us already having presented in the symposium, so our thesis should have been finished already. I'm sure he's never been soooo wrong.

Yesterday, I woke up at 7am, I got my next sleep time at around 7am also today, in the bus. I have never been awake this long in my entire life. I mean without naps? No way! I'm a sleepyhead. When I got to the Quezon Ave. MRT station at around 6:30 am today, I was hoping I'd get to sit so I can sleep, but no...there were already lots of other people. As usual, I stayed in the area where my friends and I often stay so that we won't get tangled with people who are getting on or off the train. As I was standing up, I can't help closing my eyes. Somewhere near Boni station, I think I fell asleep for a nanosecond, my knee bending and waking me up immediately. I finally got relief when I was in the bus. I slept all the way from Magallanes to Laguna. I haven't checked the contents of my bag yet, but I hope nothing is missing.

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

I had my final interview at ADTX yesterday in Alabang. But before that, when I had my initial interview in Makati, I saw a guy who I thought used to go to the same school with me (grade school). Guess what? I saw him in Alabang again. He's stalking me. Hehehe. Just kidding. Anyways, when I left my ID with the guard and logged in the log book, I noticed that all the interviewees before me are from DLSU. There were six or seven of them. I sat in the lobby for a long time before my turn came. The interviewer was the VP of something, I was really nervous, I couldn't remember his name and his exact position in the company. And then, there was a Japanese guy, who never asked a question. I wonder if he understood anything I said. The VP asked me what kind of student I was, did I study hard? Or did I study just before the exam? Or didn't I study at all because college life was so easy? Honestly, I only study before the exam, but why would I say that? Why would any interviewee say that? Why did he even ask that question, of course we're gonna fake our answers! If that isn't weird enough, he asked me where I had my practicum. I told him Systema Computer Solutions Corp. and he was like "Systema...Troy Borja, right?"

NGEEEEEHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

He knows our big boss!!! I don't want to work for them anymore! Just kidding again. But all I can say is that I was REALLY shocked.

Today, I went to IBM where I wasted precious time. I went there because this is what they put in their ad in JobsDB:

Junior Programmers Post Date: 07 Mar 06

Degree holder of an IT related course(fresh
graduates are welcome to apply)

Good programming skills(at least one programming
language like Lotus Notes, Visual Basic, MS
Excel, JAVA, C++.etc.)

Possesses good interpersonal and verbal
communication skills

WILLING TO UNDERGO TRAININGS and accept
immediate assignment

But when I got there, Claire, one of the team leads, started asking me about Lotus, Lotus, Lotus, Domino, Domino, Domino. I have no idea what those are! Hehe. Then she told me that they need someone by March 20 already. Boing! And that the job is just to test and not to code. Boing 2! And that there is no actual training, you have to "soak and swim". Boing 3! I told her it isn't the kind of job I was looking for. I think we both just wasted our time.

When I got home, Yada told me she's planning on working for Soluziona. Which means, I won't be working with her because I failed to submit my resume, application form and TCG (in short, all the requirements) to that company. I really didn't think we seriously want to work for them until Yada and Nathan started going to interviews and today got job offers.

Oh well, we're still going to put up a bar/club together anyways. Hehehe!!!

Simple Plan - Addicted

I failed to appreciate this song when it was on the charts.

I heard you’re doing okay
But I want you to know
I’m addict...I’m addicted to you
I can’t pretend I don’t care
When you don’t think about me
Do you think I deserve this?

I tried to make you happy but you left anyway

I’m trying to forget that
I’m addicted to you
But I want it and I need it
I’m addicted to you
Now it’s over
Can’t forget what you said
And I never wanna do this again
Heartbreaker

Since the day I met you
And after all we’ve been through
I’m still addict...I’m addicted to you
I think you know that it’s true
I’d run a thousand miles to get you
Do you think I deserve this?

I tried to make you happy
I did all that I could
Just to keep you
But you left anyway

How long will I be waiting?
Until the end of time
I don’t know why I’m still waiting
I can’t make you mine

Heartbreaker
I’m addicted to you

Sunday Service

I went to mass a few hours ago and it's not like every other mass I've attended. First of all, we arrived fifteen minutes late and the priest was already reading the Gospel. Because of that, my mom decided we also attend the next mass. It's weird because I've never attended two in a day. Also, since we arrived late, we were standing throughout the first mass. When the part of the mass where we sing the Our Father came where we should join hands, the guy beside me gripped my hand really tight and started shaking it. I looked at him and realized he was a batchmate from high school, he was with his girlfriend (I think), who is also from my high school. I didn't take the Holy Communion so this guy started talking to me. Although I recognize him, honestly, I can't remember his name. We didn't really talk back in high school, I even think that our conversation tonight was the longest we've had, and it was less than five minutes. I do remember the name of his girlfriend though, we were together in the high school choir for a while (I think). She's a good singer, and she's the younger sister of an actress. Back to the conversation I had with this guy. Everything he was saying and asking me was ok, until he asked me about my love life, which I don't have. To make things worse, during the Holy Communion of the second mass, I saw another acquiantance, who gave me a <strike>major</strike> heartache a few years back. I think he didn't see me and I looked away the moment I saw him. I didn't really want to see him and I didn't want to know if he was with somebody. I don't think he was with anyone though, his current girlfriend (I'm not sure if they're still together, though) has a really close relationship with her parents and I think she goes to mass with them. They're both nice to me and I treat them nice too. I have made them believe that I'm so over everything that has happened because I am. But somehow, I still don't feel comfortable being around them especially when I'm talking to both of them, I mean at the same time, meaning, when they're together. Although it won't really kill me, I prefer not having to cross paths with them.

BEP at SNL

Saturday Night Live did a Black Eyed Peas spoof. I don't know when it was shown in the US but I just saw it today here. They made up something about BEP willing to be hired for any occasion and they changed the lyrics of BEP songs to make it fit different occasions. But the funniest thing about the whole segment is when they said that when you want to hire the BEP, you'll have to pay $25K for Fergie, $10K for the two black guys (Will I Am and APL), and if you hire these three, you'll get the remaining guy for free. Hehe, that's a bit rude (I'm a HUGE BEP fan), but funny. ^_^

John Cena vs. HHH at Wrestlemania

Ha! With an angry post. Have you ever experienced sending a text message to your family or friends that require a response, but they don't reply? What do you do? I don't know how to properly call this action, but what I do is "missed call" them. I usually do it if someone did not send a response after about FIFTEEN minutes to check whether their phones are reachable. Maybe, they weren't answering because they're out of coverage area, or their cellphones are turned off, etc. But sometimes, I hesistate because they might feel that I'm too demanding, so I just patiently wait for a response.

Someone sent me a text message the day before yesterday asking for some information. The question is really simple and thinking about the answer did not take much brain power. So even though it is NOT an urgent matter, I decided to send a reply right away. As I was typing my response, he "missed call"-ed. I checked the time stamp of his message and it was sent like three seconds ago. Can't he wait for a few more minutes? To me it's just plain rude. First of all, I want to emphasize that it's NOT and urgent matter. Second, I would NOT gain anything from answering his stupid question so I feel like I'm doing him a favor. Last but not the least, he has done that a lot of times before and each and every time he did that I asked him to please not do it because I really find it ANNOYING and RUDE.

I vow to not send a reply, the next time he does that. I might even turn off my phone.

Worst Blogger

I must be the worst blogger on the planet. I post so unregularly...sometimes I post thrice a day, sometimes once a month! It's because all of the school work I have to attend to. I have been tired and sleep deprived for almost two weeks now. It all started with our CS 131 exam last February 15. I crammed the whole day of February 14, yes, I went on a date with Newton Rhapson. Haha! Then we went to the UP Fair on February 16. It was tiring, but fun. I get exposed to lots of local bands. I liked the performances of 6 Cycle Mind, Sugar Free and Kjwan. Barbie Almalbis was OK, unlike Kitchie Nadal...Yada will probably curse me but I don't like her. I think her performance was boring and she acted like she's the most important person on the planet. I also saw Hale, their lead vocalist didn't look as gay as he did on their music videos. :p
Then I worked on my thesis, animation and physics simulation from the 17th until now. I'm so thankful that somebody declared "no classes" today.

I apologize, this is the worst post of the worst blogger on earth.

Computer Security Moves Me In Mysterious Ways

I spent Saturday and Sunday at Marvin's. I love their neighborhood, it's in Quezon City but their subdivision doesn't look like it's situated in a city at all. I also love their house, there's like a family room where there's a really big TV and he has two computers. Talk about a spoiled kid! He's really humble, though. I played God of War in his Playstation 2 and I loved it. It made me want to have my own Playstation 2. But my dad, who used to buy me loads of stuff, isn't here anymore. Anyways, before I start to cry, I just want to say that the script Marvin thought of and wrote for their CS 196 vodcast was hilarious. We couldn't stop laughing for minutes. His first script, had something about Yada always getting beaten up. She was supposed to be the househelper who only gets Php 250.00 a month. Then in his second and final script he made me pretend to be the chef in Malacañang Palace who said, "To me and my waiters, computer security is like garlic and pepper that gives spice to everyday dishes." and "Computer security moves me in mysterious ways." It probably doesn't seem as funny in this text as it did last Saturday and Sunday, but just thinking about it makes me laugh. Also, I slept a lot. From 12:30 to 8:30 am. A full eight hours, and by far, the longest rest I had last week.

General, Generate, Generalization, Jenny

Our CS 131 professor discussed the last lesson for our second exam this afternoon, but I feel that I haven't learned anything yet. The subject's just so damn boring and so is the professor's style in teaching. Every Mondays and Thursdays (CS 131 days), I'm always tempted to skip that class and just go home. I don't learn anything anyways, I'll just study by myself or be tutored by a smart classmate ^_^. Anyways, today I did get that temptation but Nathan, Yada and Marvin wanted to attend class, so I did too. When the professor started the discussion, aside from the four of us, there was only one other student in the class. Since there are only five of us, I pretended to listen because he could see everyone. Luckily, other students started arriving, I think four other students came. Feeling safe from the professor's attention, I started paper chatting with Nathan. *Evil grin* But I guess I was paranoid. I feel that our professor would call my name anytime to answer some question I wouldn't know the answer to. I get nervous everytime he says the "Gen" of "General", "Generate" and "Generalization", it could be "Jenny", you know. But he really doesn't know us by names, so there's really nothing to worry about.

Earlier today, I went to our tambayan and the "big man" was there. Being the funny guy that he was, he told me "Alam mo pa pala daan papunta dito?", then he continued, "Alam ko na, nandito ka kasi wala ng tambayan ang CompSoc." Hehe. That was my identity, I'm the Cursor member who's always at the CompSoc tambayan. The truth is, I ask myself why I do that. Usually my answer to my own question is that, there is no one in Cursor who I feel really comfortable with like Yada, Nathan and Marvin. But when I went to our tambayan today, I realized that there are also people there who I can relate to, I just didn't get to spend a lot of time with them, mostly because I easily dismissed them as too coño, too smart, too rich, too malambing. It all started when someone tried to befriend me when I was just an applicant, he is my blockmate, but we're not close. At that time, I think we won't connect because he was too coño, too smart, too rich and too malambing. Besides, in my sigsheet, I put his name beside "Who is your Cursor crush?" so it was really embarrassing. He wasn't really my crush, I used to think he was gay. Haha! He's a bit feminine to me. His name wasn't the first one I wrote beside that question, it was someone else's who was really masculine but mayabang. He wasn't really my crush either but we're required to write someone's name, even if you have to fake it. When I asked some members to sign my sigsheet and they noticed this masculine-but-mayabang guy's name, I got really bad reactions, some of which are..."Huh? Talaga?", "Uy, [name of another member], si [name of the guy] daw, o!" (in a sarcastic way), "Iuntog mo na yang ulo mo sa pader!" Obviously, I just had to change that info! I scanned the whole page, deleted the name using Photoshop and printed it. Then I wrote the new name. I chose him because lots of girls find him cute so I thought I won't get bad reactions. I don't remember seeing him look at that page when when I asked for his signature (or icon). Actually, I looked away when he took my sigsheet and just waited for him to give it back. He might have looked, I don't know. Besides I had one of his closest girl friends sign my sigsheet. This girl, requires applicants to have an answer to that question before she gives her first signature, so she always checks it out first. I clearly remember her looking at me and saying, "Talaga?" in a what-a-great-chismis tone. I think she told him, but the whole point of this is that I was just too embarrassed to be around him and her, and not long after that, I invented other reasons why I cannot connect to other members, they're too fun-loving, they're too studious, they're too kikay, they're too boyish, they don't take jeepneys (because they have cars), etc. Of course, I was probably just making up those excuses, but somehow I couldn't make something up when I met the CompSoc people. They're not perfect, but I really like hanging out with them. I got to spend a lot of time with them and got to know them more, because we take the same route when we go home. Fifteen minutes in a jeepney, forty-five minutes at MRT, and we have lots of classes together. And from what I know from them, I feel that we collide (I got that word from Howie Day's song, which is one of my favorites.). I hope they'll still be my friends even when we're really old.

Writing this entry just made me think of my high school friends, I haven't seen anyone of them since the last semestral break. I wonder how my bestfriend since is. Is she still my bestfriend? We call each other "best", short for bestfriend, but honestly, I don't feel like we're still the best of friends. *Sigh*

What I Want For My Birthday

Ha! I've just been to Krissy's blog and I glanced at her list of things she wanted to buy. I didn't get to finish reading it because I realized that I should the one making my own list since my birthday is just a few weeks away. Maybe I should send this blog's link to all my relatives, friends, and my ninong whose face I saw only in my bapstism photos. Yep, never got any gift from him, so he owes me A LOT.

1. WWE RAW Manila Tour ticket - I think I have mentioned this before but I'm posting it again because I really want one. I'll save you the effort, this are the ticket prices:

Ringside (Reserve Seating) 10440
Patron (1st 3 rows) (Reserve Seating) 5220
Patron (succeeding rows) (Reserve Seating) 3654
Lower Box (Reserve Seating) 3446
Upper Box A (Reserve Seating) 2088
Upper Box B (Free Seating) 940
Gen. Admission (Free Seating) 418

I'll love you forever if you'll give me a Patron ticket and I'll worship you if you give me a ringside ticket! Just give it to me on or before February 24! :D

2. MP3 Player + flash drive - This costs around Php 5000. I want to have one because lately I've getting really bored when I travel from home to the university and back. I get really upset whenever the bus or jeepney driver steps on the brakes to load or unload some other passengers, especially when I'm travelling alone (i.e. all the other passengers are complete strangers to me). I don't know why! My patience has really deteriorated this year.

3. A good headset - You can find my personal computer in our living room. That is because when I started staying in a dormitory, my family took the liberty of dumping everything in my bedroom. And now that I have left the dormitory, there's nowhere in that room where I can place my computer table. Now whenever they are watching TV, I have to turn off my speakers because they say that they can't hear what Kristine Hermosa is saying to her gorgeous leading man in Gulong ng Palad. This is when I need the headset.

4. Motherboard + huge memory + faster processor + powerful video card + power supply - For a long time, I have been wanting to play The Sims 2. But I found out that my antique PC can't handle it. Well, I can play but when my sims' neighbors comes over and there are already more than five sims in the scene, the frame rate is reduced to one per second! What I really need is a new processor, but you know this hardware stuff, sometimes when you want to change just one part, it turns out that you have to replace a lot of other stuff to because of compatibility issues.

Looks like I can only think of four right now, but trust me there is more! Right now, I have to go to the administrator office to have my TCG certified.

Jenneenee

Jenneenee = my new nickname. Ok, it's not new. A friend of mine, gave me that nickname last year, I think. But I never really considered it as a nickname because I thought it sounds bad and he was the only person calling me that. But today, his bestfriend (I'm not sure if they're bestfriends, but they're always together) called me that too, then an orgmate heard it and started calling me that too. I don't remember having that kind of close encounter with a certified celebrity before and I am SOOO envious. Today, Nathan was even wearing a shirt that had Jason Mraz's signature on it, which reminded me that I won't be able to meet John Cena when WWE Raw comes to Manila on February. Or maybe I am? But I don't have a ticket yet. Actually, I can buy the ticket myself if I wanted to, but I'm too "kuripot" right now. Haha! I'm still hoping someone would give me a ticket because I'll be celebrating my 21st birthday in a few weeks. I hope the WWE superstars will also have and autograph signing session somewhere that I can go to so that I won't feel too bad if I won't be at Araneta Coliseum to see them perform.

More about WWE Raw. As we all now, WWE broadcasts here in the Philippines are around two weeks late. And I refuse to read news updates in the internet before I get to watch the matches. So I just watched New Year's Revolution last night, although it actually happened last January 8. The elimination chamber match was so exciting and I celebrated too early when the bleeding John Cena survived it and retained his title. I said that I celebrated too early because Mr. McMahon suddenly came out to announce that Edge was cashing in his "money in the bank" thingy to have a shot at the WWE champion title, and sadly, he got it. Grrr... The one wrestler that I hated the most just stole the WWE champsionship from my most favorite wrestler! And he was able to do that only because John Cena just went through five other wrestlers! I just hate Edge! Out of all the wrestlers in Raw, why does he have to be the next WWE champion?! I just plain hate him! I prefer John Cena losing the spinner to Shawn Michaels, or Kane, or Chris Masters, or Carlito or even Kurt "You Suck" Angle. Why does it have to be Edge? I'll choose any wrestler over him! Argh!

I noticed that I always refer to John Cena as John Cena. Haha! I guess that it just sounds better than just John or just Cena.

In other news, school stuff drives me insane! I just realized that I have been ignoring all of my other subjects just to make my thesis work. Now the things I have to do for other subjects have piled up! Somebody save me! Let your warm hands break right through...
